Elisabeth
The film features Elisabeth, a young lady who lost her mother to childbirth complications at a young age, and since then, being the firstborn of the family, she took over the responsibility of taking care of her sibling. Elisa is a hardworking photographer who has dedicated most of her efforts to care for her family: 11 siblings and her dad. Although her goal initially was to have 12 children just like her parents, the tragedy of losing her mother to childbirth complications and her knowledge of family planning changed her mind. Elisa is knowledgeable about family planning and has used the implant method to control when to have her children. This has allowed her to care for her siblings and empower herself financially. Despite being in a committed relationship, Elisa does not share the use of implants with her boyfriend. When her boyfriend discovers Elisa is on implants, he physically confronts her, which leads to the end of their relationship.
This 24-minute drama reflects the community's perception of the use of family planning, health and social, and economic consequences of having many children and not spacing their births. However, girls like Elisa, who know family planning methods, can plan their lives better and empower themselves without bearing the burden of caring for many children. The use of contraception advances the human right of people to determine the number and spacing of their children.
