Ifrah Abdi a 15-year-old class 6 hearing-impaired refugee girl in Hormud Primary school Dadaab refugee camp, breaks the social-cultural norms of stigma, and discrimination against girls and children with disability to pursue her education with dedication. Ifrah leads her class, helps her colleagues, and loves mathematics and English
Hussein Abdi Mohamed a 29-year-old deaf teacher in Hormud primary school defies all odds to become a teacher for 7 years in the Dadaab refugee camp to help learners with disabilities in the community. Hussein is passionate about his work and is testimony that disability is not inability.
