Malaria
Malaria is a documentary film shot in Kakuma to address the issue of malaria within the camp and the host community. It features health service providers who share information on malaria and demystify the community's myths and misconceptions about malaria. Also, it features malaria survivors who share their stories and how they survived the disease and how it helped them demystify some of the myths about malaria. The film also features at-risk populations such as pregnant women, children under 5, and community leaders who share insights on how to address and prevent malaria in the community.
This 9 minutes documentary illustrates the knowledge that different community members have on malaria, including their myths and misconceptions.
